Position Summary:??Proficiency in machine tool operation and precision die repair. Work with tolerances down to .0001 during grinding operations, set up and operate precision conventional machine tools to service high speed manufacturing lines producing metal containers. Basic maintenance machine repairs. Trouble shooting process equipment and die related issues including the functionality of repairs to insure quality requirements of finished product.
Essential Job Functions:
  • A working knowledge of precision grinding as well as all machine shop functions to include but not limited to; Bridgeport Milling, horizontal lathe turning, surfacing grinding die components, die assembly, polishing tooling, lapping, drilling, reaming and basic hand tools.
  • Conducts quality checks on incoming die tooling and reacts appropriately to the results.
  • Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills to rebuild die tooling for can making machinery.
  • Perform maintenance and overhaul equipment when necessary.
  • A good safe working attitude and understanding of general workplace hazards and proper practices such as lock out tag out to protect the safety of self and others.
  • Operate in plant mobile equipment; lift trucks, lifts, booms, etc.
  • Assist production departments in trouble shooting of equipment and dies.
  • Work with teams to assist and solve production related problems develop continuous improvement techniques where required.

  • AAS in Machine tool related field, High school or equivalent, trade school required without experience
  • Desired 2+ years in manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with emphasis on tools and dies. Proficiency in operating all machine shop equipment, including lathes, milling machines and grinder.
  • Can making experience/tool and die is a big plus.
  • Able to work on feet all day, able to work 8 - 12 hours days, able to work 4 on 4 off crews or conventional 5 days (depending on whether job is on conventional or continuous schedule), able to work nights or days, able to work in low and high temperatures (20 to 100 degrees), able to lift up to 50 lbs, occasional work in confined spaces, able to bend, twist and kneel, able to work at heights including use of steps and ladders

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
