Maintenance - FT

The general maintenance associate maintains facility and maintenance related equipment in support of the warehouse and facility operations. Supports the operations team through timely response to downtime and safety issues.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
Respond to equipment downtime issues and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Perform minor repairs on equipment.
Install modifications to machines and building to address safety issues as identified by operations and management.
Communicate with leads, supervisors, managers, and vendors in a professional manner.
Follow all center rules.
Work overtime hours as scheduled.
Exhibit flexibility and maintain an open mind to changing assignments.
Meets attendance standards
Perform all other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED is preferred or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position.
Must have mechanical aptitude.
Electrical knowledge is preferred.
Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish is beneficial to success
Ability to successfully multi-task, work efficiently, and meet deadlines in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to learn the mechanical, electrical and structural workings of the sorter, compactor, conveyor, and other warehouse equipment requiring routine maintenance.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is:
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands or arms.

Frequently required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
