Description:Provides leadership for the maintenance function to ensure effective equipment operation. This position is committed to ensuring the best quality products, excellent customer service by maintaining regular quality audits (AIB), good manufacturing practices, compliance with federal/state/local regulations (FDA, OSHA, Department of Agriculture, Department of Health, etc.), HACCP, meet or exceed Global Food Safety Standards (BRC), environmental compliance and DOT mandates. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:Supports without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes & are Priority #1.Assures that General Safety and Food Safety is an absolute priority by setting the example as a member of senior management.Assures that Product Quality is an absolute priority utilizing IPM, Plant Teams and outside resources to accomplish this.Supervise the activities of team members to ensure they are working safely and efficientlyTo plan, schedule and supervise effective, on time completion of maintenance tasksSupervise effective recovery of equipment failure within area through management of maintenance resources and effective communication with Production and Maintenance managementProactively identify improvement focus areas/activities through data analysisFacilitate root cause problem solving by team membersWork closely with production supervisors to enable effective maintenance supportEnsure all new associates are supported during their induction periodEnsure all associates in area attend training as defined in training and development plansCommunicate clear performance expectations to team membersGive timely feedback, coaching and mentoring to team members to help maintain or improve expected performance Provide and facilitate appropriate consequence management for under-performing team membersProvide and promote a strong teamwork environmentEnsure team members wear appropriate PPEEnsure team members are working in a safe manner and in accordance with defined safety regulations and proceduresEnsure equipment in area is maintained, guarded and operated in accordance with defined safety regulations and proceduresUnderstand levels of scrap and rework in area caused by equipment issues and associated points of causeUse effective data analysis and root cause problem solving to eliminate scrap and rework caused by equipment issuesUnderstand and manage budgetary requirements for maintenance costs within areaIdentify potential cost savings and cost avoidanceParticipate in budget planning for area and departmentUnderstand levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues and associated points of causeUse effective data analysis and root cause problem solving to eliminate scrap and rework caused by equipment issuesEnsure all work orders are generated correctly and in a timely mannerEnsure all team members remove parts from inventory in accordance with inventory management system and procedures Position Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor?s degree is a plus. Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with all levels of operations Leadership. Other desired skill sets include strong knowledge of IPM, project management skills, knowledge of Bakery Equipment operations and Bakery Science. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
