The purpose of the role of Applications Analyst is to enhance the success of the company's business and users by providing application lifecycle management, technical
services
and support to the business teams. The successful candidate will add their unique mixture of problem solving skills and broad based business, technical and systems knowledge to successfully support and maintain the application environments. Buckeye's order to cash logistics application Energy Solutions International's Synthesis will be the primary but not sole focus of this role.
Key Accountabilities: Include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Manage issues with the production environment and end users
Help users become self-sufficient by mentoring and addressing their issues
Log and Maintain issues received from users through completion
Investigate and analyze issues
Use SQL and Synthesis knowledge to investigate issues
Liaise with business contacts to prioritize issues and communicate progress
Educate business users utilizing business and technical experience
When applicable, log issues with the system vendors
Maintain customer status on all issues
Act as liaison with Synthesis Software Support
Work with ESI to facilitate issue resolution including any tracking progress of issue resolution
Prioritization of issues with ESI
Communicate with ESI Account Owner to resolve issues that will include sending all requested information and acting as the liaison to answer questions (This will generally require collaboration with the user
community
to gather relevant information)
Serve as Internal Synthesis Administrator
Ensure proper administration and setup of Synthesis software
Serve as a subject matter expert
Administer systems interfaces between key business and financial systems and Synthesis
Coordinate the administration of Synthesis security and perform Segregation of Duties (SoD analysis)
Understand and apply SQL to support Synthesis users and interfaces
Coordinate with the Infrastructure team regarding server, database and patch administration
Assist in writing reports / provisions / other technical extensions within Synthesis
Create documentation and supporting materials when needed
Monitor and ensure proper usage of Synthesis by end users

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in
computer
Science or other related discipline preferred.
Experience:
Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server Administration skills
Ability to recreate, analyze and debug an issue using available tools including SQL.
Enterprise application support
Proficiency with reporting tools, like Crystal Reports
Creation of procedures documentation
