Engineering Project Manager Material Handling

Job DescriptionWe are hiring a Project Manager - Material Handling Engineering in Breinigsville, PA, or Cincinnati, Ohio.
As the Project Manager for Material Handling Engineering, your role is identifying, evaluating, developing, designing, and implementing material handling projects.
These projects should improve productivity, increase manufacturing/brewery flexibility and capacity, enhance product quality, ensure safety, and maintain environmental compliance.
The initial assignment will be the startup and commissioning of an ASRS finished goods warehouse at our Cincinnati Brewery, followed by the design, installation, construction, and start-up of an ASRS at our Pennsylvania brewery.
What You'll Brew:
Providing a mix of project engineering and project management on assigned capital projects with a primary focus on automated material handling systems such as ASRS, AGV, palletizing, and layer picking for finished goods warehouses interfacing with internal Brewery customers and stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and IT) and operating personnel to by providing hands-on situational troubleshooting expertise as well as identification, investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of new and innovative projects, processes, or equipment to achieve operating cost reductions, increase in throughput capacity expansions, manufacturing flexibility improvement opportunities, improved product quality, and governmental complianceScope definition, capital cost estimates, operating cost savings development, investment justification, system design, cost value analysis, equipment design specifications, development of engineering design specifications, and supervision/management of outside consulting engineering firms and contractorsPreparing capital cost estimates and determining applicable cost savings, financial feasibility, capital risk, and ROI/NPV for new equipment, construction, and modification to existing operations and systemsDeveloping a business case and plan for investment in new initiatives and innovative technologies in material handlingProviding technical engineering consultation, assistance, and leadershipAbility to travel between BBC locations, based on home brewery location travel will range from 25% to 50%Driving the implementation of engineering solutions to complex operational issues to ensure a high percentage of Utilities and Facilities uptimeManaging project installation/construction, start-up, commissioning, and practical training on technology to brewery operating personnelPrimary technical Material Handling engineering interface with Brewery LeadershipWhat Ingredients You'll Bring:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related degree6
years of progressive project engineering and project management experience in automated material handling systems such as ASRSDemonstrated experience with ASRS systems, including pallet moles, shuttles, stacker cranes, etc.

Experience specifying, managing the installation, and starting up automated packaging equipment lines and/or material handling systemsIT Level 1/2/3 systems integration experienceDemonstrated automated material handling system troubleshooting skillsCapital project management skills and experienceExperience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment a plusExceptional project management skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsValue engineering expertiseDemonstrated project/idea development skillsSolid financial aptitudeProven problem-solving/conflict resolution skills; think through issues and arrive at well-thought conclusions.
