Job
Summary:
Responsible for the sorting, packing, and shipping of printed product from the LSI shipping department. Works in a fast paced production environment and must be able to do multiple job functions. Will be cross-trained in other departments.
Essential Duties:
o Sorts and packs orders according to LSI procedures.
o Processes cartons utilizing automated shipping systems
o Helps maintain the shipping/receiving areas in a clean and orderly manner
o Cross-train in Case Binding or Production departments.
Other Duties:
o Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Reading comprehension skills up to high school level
o Writing skills up to high school level
o Math skills - basic arithmetic, addition, subtraction
o Attention to detail
o Ability to work safely and adhere to safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment
o Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks
o Ability to work independently or collaborate in a group environment
o Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands
o Ability to meet and maintain production standards
o Ability to maintain reasonably reliable attendance
o Ability to read, write, speak, hear, see, think, communicate, concentrate, learn, and work
Basic/Minimum Qualifications
Education and
Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent required
o 6 months in shipping or general warehouse/distribution experience
Essential Physical Demands:
o Ability to walk and stand continuously during the assigned shift.
o Ability to lift/carry in full range of motion up to 50 lbs. during the assigned shift - 1-25 lbs continuously and 26 to 40 lbs frequently and 41-50 lbs occasionally.
o Ability to push/pull in a manufacturing environment up to 50 lbs to push during the assigned shift - up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 50 occasionally.
o Ability to grip/grasp continuously during the assigned shift.
o Ability to bend, kneel/squat, twist/turn, reach above shoulder, and type/keyboard frequently during the assigned shift.
o Ability to work designated 12 hour shift including overtime as required.
o Exposure to wide range of temperatures.
